Two Years Navigating a Rapidly Evolving Landscape
March 2021 — Platform Launch
coronatestcenter.net went live in direct response to Germany's free citizen testing program. ThreeB IT built and deployed the full platform at record speed, enabling test centers to begin operations from day one of the Coronavirus-Testverordnung.
2021 — Rapid National Expansion
The platform rapidly expanded across multiple cities and federal states as demand for testing surged. New test center locations in Ibbenbüren, Mettingen, Hagen, Münster, Emsdetten, and beyond were onboarded continuously, scaling the operator base and daily test volume significantly.
October 2021 — Adapting to Policy Change
Germany temporarily ended free testing for unvaccinated citizens. ThreeB IT rapidly adapted the platform to support paid testing models and updated billing logic to reflect the new regulatory reality — demonstrating the platform's agility in responding to government policy shifts.
November 2021 — Free Testing Restored
As infection numbers rose again ahead of winter, Germany restored free citizen testing. The platform scaled back up to full capacity, handling the renewed surge in registrations and daily test volume without disruption.
July 2022 — Transition to Paid Testing
Germany transitioned to the €3+ paid testing model. The platform was updated to handle citizen payments and modified subsidy structures, allowing test centers to continue operating under the new regime with minimal disruption to their workflows.
March 2023 — Graceful Wind-Down
As the pandemic testing era came to an end, coronatestcenter.net was gracefully wound down following the conclusion of Germany's national testing program. The platform had served its purpose completely — from the first day of crisis to the final day of operations.
